Stalled

So everyone keeps asking me, how goes the gender-neutral bathroom project? My standard response has been "stalled" to which everyone laughs. I spent a week believing it was laughs of sympathy at having to wait through bureaucracy and red tape. Then finally someone pointed out they thought I was making a pun.

What has been accomplished:

• Our Building Manager is on board with the idea of increasing inclusiveness and accessibility by having a gender-neutral bathroom here in the Student Services Building. 
• Our Building Manager contacted Planning & Development and has requested an Architect visit the building to evaluate what would need to be done to convert one or more of the current restrooms into single-stall unisex restrooms or find a space where we could build one. 

What still needs to happen:

• Getting funding for the project.
• Get it done!

Other building renovations/projects wound up taking priority over this restroom renovation request. Partially due to the lack of information of what exactly would need to be done (for which we need the architect). This will hopefully pave the way for the future.
